The main idea of the TimeBreach Project is to create an open and free MMOG (Massively Multiplayer On-line Game) based on the following principles :
- Players use a client application to play.
- The client application is connected to a central server that hosts the game.

In that way, 90% of the game characters are managed by the players themselves. This gives a highly human dimension to the game, because it's the player that manages his progress in the game which itself depends on the others players.

The most popular MMOG are : Everquest, World of Warcraft, Mankind, Nainwak and many others...

Generally, in this type of game, a powerfull central server with a large bandwith is absolutely necessary. So, the game need money. Starting from the idea of a free communitary game, we have developped a concept better than a proprietary product. Indeed, in a proprietary product, it's the developpers that create the worlds, the stories and the game events. By using the MMOG concept (set the interest of the game around the player himself), we propose the following specifications :

- Each player may create a character and make it evolve in the Time Breach universe (usual concept)
- Each Player may create a world in the Time Breach universe (usually controlled by the developpers of the game)

This principles already exist in some video games like NeverWinter Nights, which allows the player to create his own worlds. But this game doesn't allow relations between them.

To be in the MMOG game category, all the servers need to have a coherence between the rules, story and the game events in its globality. A central server is needed to unify all the worlds and so to create an harmony to present one universe to the player.

We want to create a project that doesn't need and won't need money. The only type of central server which is easily and freely hosted on the internet is a website.

Our goal is to create a "3 games in one" :
- to play togheter (MMOG)
- to play a character and make him evolve (RPG aka Role Playing Game)
- to plan commercial strategy in his own world (RTS aka Real Time Strategy)
